In November 2023, the Le Flambeau Foundation awarded four upskilling scholarships to promising youth in the Cap-Haïtien, Haiti area. These scholarships funded a one-year trade program at the King Technique trade school, hosted by Collège Martin Luther King, focused on high in-demand skills in Technology and Electrical trades, in Haiti. The scholarship recipients were selected from a pool of candidates recommended by the school.
We are thrilled to announce that three of these scholars successfully completed the program in December 2024, graduating with certificates upon the successful completion of their final projects. The graduates are listed and pictured below. Congratulations to our graduates!
This initiative reflects the Le Flambeau Foundation ’s commitment to empowering young people in Haiti via education, including skills development in crucial high demand trades in Haiti. Rebuilding Haiti requires this talent in order to become a reality. More to come.
