THE SPARK of LF Grand Winner – Fall 2022 class

Le Flambeau Foundation , Inc. November 28, 2022

Congratulations to participants of THE SPARK of Le Flambeau Fall 2022 session!  We had a great five weeks and are now ready to announce the grand winner and honorable mentions.   Class participants contributed to the selection.  Our English grader Ms. Alexis Floyd incorporated class voting feedback into making the final decisions. The grand THE SPARK of Le Flambeau winner will receive an official THE SPARK of LF award certificate and a Samsung Tablet, which will be presented by the President of Le Flambeau Foundation .  The honorable mention winners will receive an official certificate of recognition.  All winners will receive a Babbel English learning app (good for two years).  The greatest gift is the “fierté” that comes from this achievement and the incredible destinations this fuel can take them to.

In the words of our English Grader for this session, Ms. Alexis – “This class has been extremely engaging and joyous to interact with and your effort spoke volumes. Now that we have come to the end of our session, we have arrived at the moment you have all been waiting for.

“THE SPARK of Le Flambeau grand winner for this session is Gasmide Marie Saint Juste!  Congratulations Gasmide Marie!   Her efforts in this Fall 2022 session have earned her the honorable title of THE SPARK of Le Flambeau for this session! She came fearless, involved, expressive, reactive, and most importantly genuine with her responses. Along with this, she was supportive of peer contributions and was brave enough to consistently challenge the opinions of her peers in a fierce, yet humble way. Gasmide Marie diversified her writing strategy by utilizing quotes of substance and had no issue standing by what she believed about the topic. Gasmide Marie, your efforts this session made you THE SPARK of Le Flambeau as you played a big role in igniting the torch.”

Gasmide Marie’s Response:  “A message to my peers: “believe in yourself is the first secret to succeed.  Never underestimate yourself.  You can’t win at everything but you can try and that’s the main thing.  Today I am the principal Spark but don’t forget you are each a Little Spark of the Flambeau.  You all worked so hard and I learned a lot from you.  Oprah Winfrey tell us:think like a Queen (king), a Queen (king) is not to fail, failure is a springboard to greatness .”Thanks to each of you.  May God keep and protect you!!!!!”

Le Flambeau Foundation Comment:  Gasmide Marie, you lit your torch and passed forward your SPARK to light the torch of many other youth in Haiti.  More positive steps are in motion because of you.  You are THE SPARK of Le Flambeau.  Thank you!
