#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.), #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. One of the best ways to get involved is by supporting activities of non-profit organizations making a difference in the sustainable building of our global community – Le Flambeau Foundation being one of them.
Incorporated in 2007 as a non-profit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. tax code, Le Flambeau Foundation is dedicated to intellectual infrastructure development for Haiti via the provision of educational opportunities for Haitian youth. Our accomplishments include the awarding of full college scholarships, THE SPARK of Le Flambeau technology enabled English language learning program, English based preparatory sessions in Cap-Haitian, the Flambeau Vert agri edu initiative, our partnership with language learning app Babbel, and more.
Le Flambeau Foundation has been fortunate enough to establish these programs quietly, yet consistently, for over a decade. But, to do more with greater impact on a larger scale requires funding support…even more so in light of current circumstances in Haiti.
