This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the fallen heroes who built the foundation of our nation, including those who fought in the Battle of Savannah on October 9th 1779. We pay our deepest respects to the fallen soldiers, from all backgrounds and nationalities, who defended our freedoms. Their sacrifice unites us in searching for a more perfect union.

Our president, himself a veteran, is deeply committed to supporting this cause.
