Dear Friends,
On January 1st 2015 we celebrate the arrival of a new year filled with powerful optimism for an outstanding series of new achievements. On this same day we also celebrate the 211th anniversary of Haiti’s independence (January 1, 1804) – setting a precedent that opened the doors of opportunity for nations.
Thus we present you with year-end and year-beginning gifts. For year-end we offer highlights of youth achievements from throughout the year. To launch the new year we gift you with a delicious dose of Soup Joumou – a unique Haiti rooted recipe for success, celebrating the achievements of the past and of the future. This is a recipe passed forward in many ways, for generations – and for generations to come.
This is the spirit of Le Flambeau Foundation as together we celebrate our achievements and pass forward educational opportunities to youth in Haiti who will ultimately achieve the independence, success, and leadership that will rebuild a healthy sustainable Haiti for all of us.
May our newborn year bring even more to the table and may we all remember to continue the tradition and pass forward our good fortune.
Happy Independence Day! Happy New Year!
