After close to three years of working with the Little Haiti Cultural Center on youth education projects, Le Flambeau Foundation was pleased to officially launch a Le Flambeau Laptop Club at the LHCC. The focus is on educational engagement in languages and culture with an emphasis in STEM subjects, for our communities. Activities are managed and run by the host.

The Le Flambeau Laptop Club, featuring DELL notebook laptop computers, is focused on providing educational engagement as preparation for elevation…for college or workforce depending on one’s disposition. The tools and guidance are provided with the point being to move forward, and to Pass Forward. We help ourselves and in doing so we extend a hand and help others…all via Education. Students vary in age from elementary school to high school depending on the host.
Le Flambeau Foundation is happy to support the Little Haiti Cultural Center as it has been a pleasure working with Ms. Marie Vickles and her team on events for THE SPARK of Le Flambeau college preparatory program over the past few years. The birth of a Le Flambeau Laptop Club at the LHCC is a welcome addition. Le Flambeau Foundation donated five DELL notebook computers along with a case of language Learning CD’s to the Little Haiti Cultural Center, officially presented by the Foundation’s president Jean St.Lot-Gervais.
“It is an honor to be a part of this movement as the torch was once passed forward to me. I take pride in doing the same for others…it is my passion to make a difference by being the difference. Each one reach one, each one teach one.” said St.Lot-Gervais.
The torch was again passed forward on July 26th in Miami at the Little Haiti Cultural Center. A difference will be made by those sparked, and by those to be sparked by them – such is the spirit of Le Flambeau Foundation . The torch is lit. The movement continues….
A special “Thank You” is extended to DELL computers.
