Haiti Tourism – Stéphanie on tour of promotion

Stéphanie Balmir-Villedrouin, the Haitian Minister of Tourism, began a promotional tour to change the image of Haiti abroad. Accompanied by a delegation composed of Regional Directors of the Ministry, of Director of Investments, of Director of Communication and members of the Cabinet of the Minister, which is currently at the 14th edition of Haitian Compas Festival to Miami which takes place from May 17 to 23, 2012.

The Minister will have the opportunity to meet with the Director of Operations of Carnival Cruise line in order to open the door to other companies for they make tours cruise to Haiti. Meetings are also planned with U.S. officials of the Haitian community such as the Commissioner Monestime of Miami and the Mayor of Miami, André Pierre, for arrangements around activities between the Diaspora of Miami and Haiti.

The Delegation of the Ministry of Tourism will take advantage of this trip to promote the new logo and slogan of the Ministry and present the future projects of the Ministry, during the big event that is the Haitian Compas Festival, this Saturday, May 19, 2012.

Several activities will take place at the Little Haiti Cultural Center, as well as exchanges with the various media of the Haitian diaspora and foreign.

Next stop on the tour of the Minister and the delegation: Montreal from May 22 to 25, 2012.
